The Restaurant Show 2009 features: The Centre Stage: The Centre Stage, supported by the Academy of Culinary Arts, will play host to leading chefs sharing their talents and showcasing their skills throughout an intense schedule of workshops and demonstrations that are sure to inspire. Visitors to this year’s Restaurant Show will have the rare opportunity to see a live interview with the world’s most famous chef, Ferran Adrià. The chef-patron of Spain’s renowned El Bulli – voted the world’s best restaurant for the last four years running – will be answering questions posed by Paul Wootton, editor of Restaurant magazine. The impressive line-up of confirmed chefs includes Ferran Adrià, Michael Caines, Philip Howard, Richard Corrigan and Tristan Welch – to name just a few. New for 2009, eight visitors pre-booking online will have the chance to sit on the Chef’s Table and enjoy an up-close experience and the opportunity to sample the food. New for 2009 will be the Tandoori Village. Supported by Tandoori Magazine, this area is for companies that supply to the restaurant trade and predominantly the ethnic markets. Restaurant: Building on the success of the on 2008 show, The Restaurant Show ‘restaurant’ will once again be ‘open for business’. Visitors will be given the unique opportunity to sample the culinary delights and talents of three iconic chefs who will be working with students from Westminster Kingsway College.
